Hotel Arrival and General Directions (As of June 17th, 2024)

From June 17 to mid December 2024, access to the hotel’s main driveway is slightly different as work on the Cogswell Interchange is completed. As you follow along Barrington Street (typically if coming from either the MacKay or MacDonald bridges), a paved detour road will take you past what previously was Barrington Street, and shortly after, you will be able to make a left into the hotel's new driveway.

As traffic in downtown now moves via this detour (or Duke Street), during rush hour periods, this area may become congested making it difficult to make to make this left  turn into the driveway. To avoid this, from 8AM to 10AM and 3:30PM to 5:30PM, it may be preferrable to:

  • If taking the MacKay bridge, you can follow Robie Street to Cogswell Street (at the Halifax Common) and turn left onto Cogswell, which will bring you to the hotel.

  • If taking the MacDonald Bridge, you can turn left on Gottingen and follow to Cogswell Street, make a left, and you will immediately come to the hotel driveway.

White arrows indicate allowed turn movements on street.

Vehicles Under 179CM / 5 Feet, 11 Inches

The closest parkade is the Scotia Square Parkade, and if your vehicle is under 180CM (5 Feet, 11 Inches) it, can be accessed from the hotel’s driveway (green star on map) (read below for overheight). When you enter the parkade, you take a ticket to open the gate. The parking cost is based on an hourly system of $4.50 per hour, with a daily maximum of $26 + HST on Monday to Thursdays, and $24 + HST Friday to Sunday. The ticket you take can be brought to the front desk and for the same cost be validated to give you unlimited in and out privileges in a 24 hour period. This can only be coded at the Front Desk, the parking gates will charge you on an hourly basis/daily maximum every entry or exit.

After parking on any level, to access the lobby, take the elevators to level G.
